Evolving from decades of research and development, Hydrus is fine art, lightfast, transparent watercolor at its best...in a bottle! This liquid product delivers the same brilliance and permanency of traditional watercolors that one finds in a tube. Watercolorists can be confident because Hydrus is made from the finest artist pigments (l.e., quinacidrone, phthalocine). They also enjoy the freedom of blending and intermixing while maintaining the transparency and luminosity of the color. Sets come in a tray that doubles as a mixing palette and bottle holder. There's space for a water cup and 12 individual mixing wells. Hydrus can even be used for technical pen, calligraphy fountain pen and airbrush work where transparency of pigment is desired. And, titanium white can be intermixed with colors to achieve an opaque gouache watercolor and beautiful pastel shades!
